Bohemian Rhapsody & Mulled wine
The Annual Jericho Singers Christmas do the best so far this year. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it run like a dream. We had over 300 people possibly more (standing room only!) come along for an eclectic evening of music and merriment. The food was delicious (home made by the choir) and the singing was very good indeed. Many compliments received since.
The programme included Christmas music but also lots of music from different genres and from all around the world. Never a dull moment! and of course a bit of Christmas Brass. We enjoyed singing with Rising Voices our choir friends who joined us for the evening.
The highlight this year was most definitely the choirs outstanding performance of Bohemian Rhapsody topped by Kat Binnie's beautiful high Bb. Freddy would have been proud. The performance could only have been as magical as it was with the excellent musicianship of the house band including Esther Ng, Al Pirrie, Ben Twyford and Johnny Hinkes. The roof threatened to lift off the church when the lead guitar kicked in half way through.
Great memories and a lot of fun. Here's to next year!
