A splendid evening with over 100 singers, friends and family - cruising, singing, eating, drinking and having a marvellous time...
We were truly blessed with the most incredible weather (pay back for the very wet Canal festival performance!) and the joy of singing altogether on the top deck as we ploughed through the glassy stillness of the Thames.
A wonderful evening of lovely performances around the streets of Jericho to a welcoming and generous audience in houses, pubs and restaurants along the way.
It was a wonderful day of music and a bringing together of people around Oxford's historic canal.
The Jericho Singers performed outside the Anchor pub and closed the festival with a rousing performance. Some singers endured knee deep mud, but always committed, we delivered!
Most exciting was the spot on performance of 'Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho', by Moses hogan, was a triumph of rythmn and attitude!
Lots of performances solos/duos/trios acappella, with accompaniment and house band from our singers and friends. A great fun evening £3 on the door to J Singers and £5 guests.
Our extra special singing evening in Worcester College Chapel. Thanks to Fran Monks for the beautiful photographs.
We are very excited to be performing with 250 other singers, Clare Teale, Joe Stilgoe and the Big Buzzard Blues Band at the Bristol Jazz Festival on Saturday the 19th of March, Come along!
Looking forward to our new term of singing again. We will meet at St Barnabas Church on Monday 11th January. Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone!
Our best Christmas concert yet! A delightful, eclectic, Christmas, community, musical marvellous evening. Over 300 of you lovely folk joined us, the church was packed standing room only, lots of mulled wine flowing and delicious treats baked by Jericho Singers.
Our programme included some fantastic new material we learned this year. A healing chant, The River of Jericho Gospel song, Fairytale of New York, Goodnight Sweetheart and many more.
